I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and currently live in beautiful Chilliwack, British Columbia. When I am not at my desk I spend my days with my wife Jess (who is also a designer), our three black cats, and riding mountain bikes or swinging a golf club.
Fuelled by an unwavering passion for creating visually stunning and captivating experiences, my focus lies in solving complex problems through user-centric design strategies. As the User Experience Team Lead at this multi-award-winning digital product development firm, my role extends beyond collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive exceptional outcomes. I am responsible for managing and leading a dynamic team of UX Designers and Researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. We work with a diverse client base, ranging from Unicorn Startups to Fortune 500 businesses, focusing on IOS, Android, Desktop, and XR product design.
My responsibilities encompass:
Team Leadership and Development — Actively mentoring and leading a team of UX Designers and Researchers. I focus on nurturing their professional growth, encouraging their creativity, and ensuring their voices are heard. I provide them with opportunities for leadership and growth within projects, instilling a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Strategic Oversight — Identifying opportunities, shaping strategies, and establishing processes that balance business expectations with user needs. I lead my team in developing materials for workshops, design sprints, prototyping, and delivery, ensuring we adhere to high standards of quality and innovation.
Process and Best Practices Governance — Defining and governing internal processes like CoLab — a framework for insight discovery, and our 5-X methodology, which empowers our team to navigate complex landscapes with a focus on user and machine empathy. I ensure these best practices are embedded within the team's workflow.
Cross-functional Collaboration — Working closely with engineering leads to address workflow gaps and promoting seamless integration between design and development teams. This collaboration has been key to enabling smooth project delivery and enhancing team efficiency.

In 2022, Domain7 was acquired by Versett, marking the continuation of my role as a Senior Experience Designer. In this capacity, I was instrumental in overseeing the delivery of various products and websites for a broad spectrum of clients, including Regent College, eCampus Ontario, Pacific Blue Cross, Concert Properties, the City of Burnaby, and numerous government agencies, higher education institutions, and SaaS businesses.
Project Leadership and Design Oversight — Led the design and development of solutions, ensuring thorough testing, validation, and documentation. I bridged design challenges with technical requirements, achieving high-quality, user-centered outcomes. My expertise in iOS design, UX testing, and agile methodologies played a critical role in guiding the team towards success.
Client Workshop Facilitation — Conducted hands-on workshops with clients, establishing a foundation for design rationale and data-driven decision-making. Through journey mapping, rapid prototyping, art direction, and brand integration, I crafted cohesive and impactful user experiences.
